INSIGHT VITAL RECORDS IMMUNIZATION SUPPORT WHATS NEW ABOUT US

HTTPS Test Page

Availability

This QS Immunization Registry HL7 Test Page is made available to all Immunization Registry developers to assist in testing their (and our) Immunization Registry HL7 interfaces.

Interface

The following HL7 transactions may be tested:

  • VXU - Unsolicited Immunization Update
  • VXQ - Immunization Query

You will receive an ACK, QCK, VXX or VXR in response as appropriate.

If you succeed in getting your VXU message accepted by our edits, the data will be stored in our test database and you can retrieve your patient record using a VXQ to test the round trip. If your message fails our edits, diagnostic material is returned in the HL7 message. Test HL7 messages are provided at the bottom of the page. All new VXU records must include a Medical Record number as one of the patient identifiers (type "MR").

The reply message is raw HL7, not HTML. HL7 messages contain carriage returns as segment delimiters. Internet Explorer does not recognize carriage returns as end of line markers, so the message displayed in the browser window appears jammed together, and cannot be simply cut and pasted into another application. To solve this problem select Source from the Internet Explorer View menu and properly formatted HL7 segments will be displayed.

You may also receive one of the following HTTP error codes:

  • 400 - Your HL7 message did not start with MSH
  • 401 - Access Denied
  • 500 - Internal error in our web server
  • 503 - Our HL7 engine is not running right now

Pre-release software

Note: The version of the HL7 server accessible through this page may include pre-release code rather than our production software. If you find a bug, email us at registry@qsinc.com. We are happy to discuss HL7 issues with you!
